Our commitment to quality does not end after the finished parts are delivered to our customers. Birmingham Plating Co Ltd is dedicated to protecting the environment and aims to reduce its impact as much as possible. Over the past few years the Metal Finishing Industry has come under enormous pressure to comply with EU legislation such as certification to IPPC (Integrated Prevention Pollution Control). The strategic objective of this is to minimise the waste produced through processes. Birmingham Plating Co Ltd  is taking a proactive approach and we have improved our operations to reduce energy usage, water consumption and disposal of all types of waste. We test and update our equipment regularly to ensure that all waste produced by the plants and processes is correctly identified and dealt with according to current legislation. We have satisfied the waste minimisation requirements and, in 2004, Birmingham Plating Co Ltd was one of the few plating sites to gain an IPPC permit.

The company encourages its customers to accept environmently friendly Trivalent Chromates in preference to Hexavalent. We are compliant with various EU directives such as

  • ELV
  • ROHS
  • REACH
  • WEEE DIRECTIVE

All of our processes are controlled by an Environmental Managemnt System accredited to ISO 14001:2004

We have acheived our goal through investment, training, and use of the best practice available.

14001 certificates. Environmental policy
